Description
Holdenby House stables, built in the late 19th century, are constructed from squared coursed limestone and lias with ashlar dressing and a slate roof. The building has a courtyard plan and is a single storey with an attic. It features a six-window range of lunettes and a central carriage arch topped with a gable. The gabled dormers and ashlar gable parapets are adorned with finials, and there are ashlar stacks at the ridge. A clock is positioned in the central gable. The courtyard elevations are similar in design. Inside, the stables retain their original loose boxes and harness room.
