Description
The building is a stable, now used as stables and a garage, located approximately 30 meters north of The Old Vicarage. It is likely from the mid-18th century and constructed of squared coursed lias, brick, and cob, topped with a slate roof. Originally, it probably consisted of a range of four stables with haylofts above.
The elevation facing the road features two bays on the left made of rendered cob with a brick plinth, a central plank door, and a hayloft door to the right. The roof is from the 19th century. The two bays on the right are made of squared coursed lias and have two hayloft doors. The roof is steeply pitched, and the gable on the right has a cob base with a brick gable. The elevation facing the yard is similar, with three stable doors beneath wooden lintels. This building is included as an example of cob construction.
