Description
Brockhill Lodge is a cottage dated 1823, featuring a relief of the Henley coat of arms above the doorway. It is constructed from coursed ironstone and limestone rubble, topped with a hipped slate roof that has overhanging eaves and brick stacks. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays. The doorways and windows have painted stone surrounds, with a central doorway that features a plank door. The windows are adorned with wooden Y-tracery, although some were noted as broken at the time of the survey.
Inside, the fittings are in the Gothick style, including painted four-panel doors with Y-tracery in the heads and similar doors for cupboards. The original fireplaces are framed with reeded wood surrounds that include corner roundels.
