Description
Tile House is a house dating from the 17th century, which was remodeled in the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared ironstone and features a tile roof with brick and stone stacks. The house has a lobby entry and is two storeys tall with four bays.
The central doorway has a chamfered stone four-centred arch and a six-panel part-glazed door, topped with a gabled timber hood supported by brackets. To the right of the entrance, there is a sash window with side lights and a wood lintel. The second bay from the right has a six-pane sash window with a wood lintel. To the left of the entrance, there is a 16-pane sash window set in a stone frame, along with a three-light casement window with a wood lintel in the left bay. On the first floor, there is a two-light casement window with a chamfered stone frame in the left bay. The right bay and the second bay from the right each have three-light casement windows with wood lintels, while the second bay from the left features a 16-pane sash window with a wood lintel. The house has a central stack and a stack on the right gable, with coped gable ends. The interior has not been inspected.
