Description
The ice and well house, located approximately 6 meters south of Church End House, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a corrugated iron cover structure. There are wooden steps leading down to the level of the well-head on the left side. To the right, there is a short passage that has a brick tunnel vault leading to a circular space, which is lined with brick and topped with a shallow brick dome. A central blocked oculus in the dome suggests that this building may have originally served as a bath house. It is situated within shrubbery beside the path leading from the house.
