Description
Beech House is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of coursed squared limestone and features an asbestos tile roof, with brick stacks at the ends and ridge. The house has a two-unit plan that has been extended to three units. It stands two storeys tall with an attic and has a three-window range.
There is a six-panel door located to the left of centre, which is set within a 20th-century gabled porch. To the right of centre, there is a former door with a wood lintel that leads to a 20th-century bay window. The ground floor features a 16-pane sash window on the far left with a segmental-arched head, a 20th-century casement window on the right, and a 19th-century horned sash window to the left of centre, all with wood lintels. The first floor has 16-pane sash windows, except for a cross window on the right, and all are also fitted with wood lintels.
Inside, the house includes stop-chamfered spine beams and an open fireplace, as well as a good collar-truss roof.
