Description

An 18th-century barn and stable complex located at Kislingbury Grange. The barn and stable are constructed of coursed squared ironstone, originally with thatched roofs, now corrugated iron. The barn has opposed double doors protected by a timber lintel, and a four-bay roof supported by tie beam collar trusses. A single-story stable adjoins the barn at a right angle, also possessing a four-bay roof with tie beam collar trusses. The stable retains its original stalls and hay racks, likely used for working horses. The barn and stable have stone-coped gables with kneelers.
