Description

This sundial, located approximately 15 metres west of Haddon Hall, dates from around 1905 and is made of limestone ashlar. It features an octagonal shaft set on a plinth, which has a band of lead relief and an inscription. The sundial is signed at the base by Edith Madoc, 1905. It was originally part of a garden designed by the notable landscape designer E. Lutyens and the horticulturist Gertrude Jekyll. The sundial is included for its group value.
