Description
The New Inn is a public house dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a plain tile roof that has replaced the original thatch, featuring brick ridge and end stacks. The building has a three-unit plan and is two stories high with a three-window range.
The entrance, located to the left of the center, consists of a six-panel, part-glazed door with a timber lintel. To the far left, there is a double-leaf plank cellar door also with a timber lintel. To the right, another six-panel, part-glazed door is present, which has a timber lintel and a straight hood supported by brackets. The ground floor features three-light casement windows, while the first floor has a small three-light casement window to the right and 20th-century two-light casements to the left. Some courses of brick can be seen below the eaves.
Inside, the pub includes a stop-chamfered spine beam and an open fireplace with a chamfered bressumer.
