Description
This building, originally a house and now used as a farm building, dates back to 1683. It is constructed from coursed squared limestone and features a corrugated iron roof, a brick ridge stack, and a stone end stack with original diagonal brick flues. The structure has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, presenting a four-window range.
The entrance includes a four-panel door located to the right of the centre, which is topped by a timber lintel. To the right of this door is a small two-light chamfered wood mullion window. Further right, there is another entrance featuring a six-panel door set in a moulded wood surround, also with a timber lintel. On the far right, a two-light casement window with H-hinges and a timber lintel is present, alongside a three-light casement window to the left of the centre.
On the first floor, there is a three-light wood mullion window to the left, a smaller leaded window in the centre, and two-light casements flanking the datestone inscribed I/WD/AD/1683. The building has a chamfered plinth and stone-coped gables with kneelers on the right, with the coping and kneelers made of ironstone. Inside, there are open fireplaces featuring stop-chamfered bressumers, chamfered spine beams, and stone-flagged floors.
