Description
The retaining wall, likely built in the late 17th century, is made of limestone ashlar and features piers. It is located to the south of the garden front of Kirby Hall, which is owned by the Winchelsea estate and is under the guardianship of the Historic Monuments and Buildings Commission for England. Kirby Hall itself is recognized as an ancient monument, and the wall is included for its group value.
