Description

This is a churchyard cross located approximately 8 meters south of the south aisle of the Church of St. Peter. It dates from the 14th to 15th century and is made of limestone ashlar. The cross features a square base with three steps and a quatrefoil frieze around the upper step. The chamfered octagonal socket supports a truncated shaft that is decorated with animals, likely representing the symbols of the four Evangelists. The cross is also scheduled as an Ancient Monument.
