Description
The Old Rectory Lodge is a house that likely dates from the mid-17th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and features a thatched roof. Originally designed as a three-unit plan, probably a hall house, it has been modified to a single storey with an attic. The building has a three-window range of casements with glazing bars set under wooden lintels. There is a central eyebrow dormer that includes a casement window, with a 20th-century porch below it. The gable ends have ashlar parapets, and there are ashlar stacks at the ridge. A 20th-century extension has been added to the rear, which has a tiled roof. Inside, there are remnants of two open fireplaces and ceiling beams that are stop-chamfered.
