Description
Nos. 13 and 13A on Church Street are a farmhouse that has been converted into two dwellings, dating from the early to mid-18th century. The building is constructed of squared coursed limestone and features corrugated sheet roofs. It was originally designed with a two-unit plan, likely with a lobby entry. The structure is single storey with an attic and two storeys.
The façade has a two-window range with 19th and 20th century casements, some of which have glazing bars, all set beneath wooden lintels. The attic window on the right is the remnant of an eyebrow dormer. There is a central 20th century door under a wooden lintel, with a blocked door opening to the right. To the far right, there is another 20th century door beneath a concrete lintel. The building features two eaves levels and has ashlar stacks at the ridge and end.
Inside No. 13, there are remains of an open fireplace with a bressumer and spine beams. The original roof structure is reported to still be intact. The farmhouse was originally known as Home Farm.
