Description
Mill House is a building that has been converted from a mill to a house. It dates from the early 18th century, although it likely has earlier origins, and was raised in the 19th century. The structure is made of squared coursed limestone and limestone ashlar, topped with a plain tile roof from the 20th century. Originally, it had a two-unit plan and is two storeys high with an attic. The front features a three-window range of 19th-century casements set under wooden lintels. There is a central 20th-century door, also under a wooden lintel, and three 20th-century eaves dormers. The building has a chamfered plinth and a raised band above the first-floor windows. The attic storey is made of ashlar, with ashlar gable parapets and brick stacks at both ends. Although the interior was not inspected, it was noted that the entrance hall contains late 18th-century panelling, likely reset.
