Description
This is a group of three headstones located approximately 1 metre south of the chancel of the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul. The headstones are dated 1698, 1703, and 1717 and are made of limestone ashlar.
The headstone on the east is plain and features roll moulding, with the inscription for John Bullocke, who died in 1698. The central headstone has a carved head with leaf decoration and is inscribed to Thomas Bullocke, who died in 1717, along with his wife. The headstone on the west has a circular convex panel adorned with scroll and swag decoration, featuring a central figure at the head flanked by torcheres. This headstone is inscribed to Thomas Bullocke, Vicar of Hemington, who died in 1703.
