Description

The bridge over the River Welland is an early 19th-century structure made of ashlar with red brick arch linings. It features four segmental arches, with the two central arches being larger than the others. A central buttress rises into the parapet, and the roadway curves upward over the bridge, with the parapet and an exterior raised band at its base following this curve. The parapets at each end of the bridge are slightly set back and terminate in low stone piers. Triangular cutwaters are present on both sides of the bridge.
