Description
The stables and archway, dating from the 17th to the 19th century, are located to the northeast of Bulwick Hall. They are constructed from squared coursed limestone and topped with a Collyweston slate roof. The building has an irregular L-shaped plan and is a single storey. The main front features a six-window range of 17th-century two-light stone mullion windows with transoms, while the bay on the far right is from the 19th century. The roofs are a mix of hipped, half-hipped, and gabled styles. A shallow segmental carriage arch from the 19th century is attached to the left and connects with Bulwick Hall, along with an entrance loggia and a garden room. The rear elevation has a range set on two planes, attached at right angles to the right side. There are seven plank and stable doors, which are under wooden lintels, and one two-light stone mullion window. The interiors have not been inspected but likely retain some original roof structures.
