Description
This is a group of three chest tombs located approximately 10 meters south of the south aisle of the Church of St. Mary. One of the tombs is dated 1653, while the other two date from the early 18th century. They are made of limestone ashlar. The chest tomb on the east side features a triple chamfered slab with a partially legible inscription dedicated to John Grumbold, a freemason who died in 1653. The chest tomb on the west side has a plain slab and panelled sides that are decorated with cherub heads and flowers.
