Description

This is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, located on Dukes Street in Polebrook. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and features a Collyweston slate roof. The building originally had a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with a two-window range, which includes horizontal sliding sashes set beneath wood lintels. There is a 20th-century plank door also under a wood lintel. The house has ashlar gable parapets and brick stacks at both ends. The room to the left of the entrance is full height, while the room to the right has ceiling beams. This house is included for its group value with the adjacent property, Hazeldene.
