Description
The stable and granary located approximately 18 meters east of The Prebendal Manor House is likely a former guest house or stable associated with the manor. It has medieval origins and was altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building features regular coursed and squared limestone with banding, topped by a corrugated iron roof. Its original layout is unclear, but it has been modified into a single unit with a stable on the ground floor and a granary above. There is a central doorway with a wooden lintel, a small window opening to the right, and a blocked doorway with ashlar dressings to the left. A hayloft door is present on the first floor, and the gable end is weatherboarded. The thatched roof was removed in the early 20th century. Inside, there is a curved recess from a former stair. The building originally extended further to the north.
