Description

This is a former school and master's house, dated 1852. The former school is built of squared coursed limestone with ashlar dressings, and has a Collyweston stone slate roof with coped gables, traceried kneelers, and moulded stone end stacks. It is a single-storey building, with moulded eaves. A central gabled porch features an arched entrance and a board door, flanked by a three-light stone mullioned window with cusped heads and hexagonal lead lattice glazing. A round window is located in the left gable end. The master's house is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a Collyweston stone slate roof and a coped gable, along with a moulded stone end stack. It is a one-storey and attic building with a three-window front. A 20th-century door is flanked by three-light windows, all with stone lintels and keystones. There are three gabled half-dormers. The interiors have not been inspected.
