Description
A set of steps located to the south of the south front arcade at Apethorpe Palace, built around 1905 by Sir Reginald Blomfield for Lord Brassey. The steps are constructed from ashlar and coursed rubblestone, featuring low coursed rubblestone side walls with ashlar coping and ball finials. These steps are an important part of the overall design and setting of Apethorpe Palace, contributing to the significant group that includes the house and surrounding features. The gardens at Apethorpe are also recognized in the English Heritage Register of Parks and Gardens at Grade II.
