Description
Lower Goddards Farmhouse is a house dating from the 16th to early 17th century, with some alterations. The front features timber framing with a large curved brace and whitewashed brick infill on the upper storey, while the ground floor has been rebuilt in whitewashed brick. The left gable was rebuilt in the 17th to early 18th century using flint with narrow brick dressings, and the right gable is rebuilt in brick. There is some timber framing visible at the rear. The house has an old tile roof and flanking brick chimneys, with the right chimney being external and made of thin brick. It is two storeys high and has two bays. The windows are 20th-century leaded casements, with a 4-light window in the right bay and on the first floor left, a 5-light window on the ground floor left, and a 3-light window in the centre above the door, which has a flat wooden hood. There is a small rear wing constructed with flint and brick on the ground floor and half-timbering above. The interior has not been seen.
