Description

This is an early to mid-19th century former malting, now used as a store. It is located to the south-east of the Carpenters Arms public house. The building is constructed of pale brick, with a section that was once whitewashed. The western side has off-set eaves, while the rest of the building has dentil eaves, an off-set plinth, and plain pilasters. It has a tiled roof. The building is arranged in an L-shape. The western front, which has two bays, features a gabled bay to the right with board doors and a round window in the gable. The left bay has a small 20th-century casement window. The rear wing has irregular boarded openings with cambered heads to the ground floor, and round windows above. A kiln is located in the north-western bay. The building is included on the list for its group value.
