Description

The Manor House is a building that dates from the 16th to 17th century and has been significantly restored in the early 20th century. A new doorway was added in 1927. The structure is made of dressed rubble stone, featuring a restored ashlar plinth and a first-floor string course. It has an old tile roof with stone coped gables and kneelers, along with a small brick chimney that has a moulded stone cap located behind the gable of the second bay.

The house is two storeys high, with a basement and an attic, and the east front consists of five bays. The windows are rebuilt 3-light stone mullions, with those on the ground floor including transoms, all fitted with leaded lights. The second bay features a gable with an attic window, while the fourth bay has a three-storey gabled projection that was formerly a porch, now containing a 20th-century 2-light wooden casement in a blocked doorway with a restored and rendered four-centred head. There is also a door between the second and third bays that has a similar head. The third bay includes a 2-light basement window.

The south front is double gabled, with the left range being a 19th-century extension that has leaded cross casements. Inside, there are fragments of timber framing, likely not in their original position, and two 17th-century panelled doors. One of the stone fireplaces features a moulded four-centred arch and a later surround with a mantel-shelf supported by reeded pilasters.
