Description

This is a late 17th century, two-story, four-bay brick farmhouse, originally a service range for Stone Dean House. The walls are of English garden wall bond brickwork, and the roof is tiled with old tiles, and covered with modern leaded windows, with the exception of a 2-light 17th century window to the rear. The roof structure incorporates queen strut trusses. William Penn, founder of Pennsylvania in the USA, is recorded as having stayed in an upstairs room.
