Description
Old House Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century and an extension added in the 20th century. The left bay features a timber frame with thin brick infill, with some upper panels arranged in a herringbone pattern. The rest of the building is constructed of brick. It has a steeply pitched slate roof and a central brick chimney with grouped shafts. The house has one storey and an attic, comprising four bays in total, with the right-hand bay being a 20th-century addition. The left bay has no windows, while the central bays contain 19th-century leaded windows, which are three-light with segmental heads on the ground floor and two-light windows in the gabled eaves-line dormers. The right bay features similar 20th-century windows, but with flat heads on the ground floor. There is a six-panelled door set in an architrave frame between the left bays. Additionally, there is a small brick outbuilding with a corrugated iron roof attached to the right side of the farmhouse.
