Description
Cottage at Dorneywood, dating from the 17th century, was formerly known as Dorneywood Farm Cottage and originally consisted of two cottages. The building has been extensively restored and features a timber frame with red and blue brick nogging and a handmade tile roof. The east elevation includes two modern 2-light casements in oak frames, a board door with a timber hood supported by brackets, and another 2-light window. To the right, there is a recessed section with exposed timber framing, followed by a modern extension. The west elevation has two storeys plus an attic, featuring four gabled dormers. The first floor includes one 3-light window, two 2-light windows, a modern timber-framed bay window, and a smaller glazed bay window. The ground floor has two 2-light casements and two 3-light casements. On the left side, there is a modern addition built using old bricks.
