Description
Collaine and The Chestnuts are a pair of estate houses built in 1848, located on Penn Elm Road in Tylers Green. These unaltered buildings are two storeys high and constructed from flint and brick. Each house features two three-light casement windows, which are set beneath moulded hoods with labels. They have gabled porches with shallow arched openings, also adorned with hood moulds, and fancy shaped gables above the windows, with the date "1848" displayed—"18" for The Chestnuts and "48" for Collaine. The houses have a shallow pitch slate roof and a plain central stack, along with two-light casements with hood moulds on the gable walls.
