Description

Blackberry Barn is a former barn that has been converted into a house. It dates from the late 17th century to the 18th century and underwent a conversion in the late 20th century. The structure features a timber frame and is weatherboarded, topped with a tiled roof that has a half-hip on the left side. The barn has four and a half bays, with 20th-century windows inserted to the left and within the former wagon entrance, along with two doors on the right.

Inside, the roof structure includes braced tie beams with tall queen struts, double clasped purlins, and irregular braces, some of which are curved. This building has group value with the Grade II listed Marstonfields Farmhouse.
