Description
The Old School is a former school and schoolmaster's house, marked by a date plaque that reads "National 1861 Schools." The building is constructed of rubble stone with stone dressings and features a steeply pitched tiled roof. The north wing projects and has a gabled front facing the street, which includes a 3-light window with stone mullions and a transom, along with a clock and the date plaque. The south wing, which houses the living quarters, is a single storey and has two paired casement windows in a hipped dormer. There is also one paired casement window on the ground floor, accompanied by a boarded door to the right. The east and south walls are adorned with a verandah that has a lean-to tiled roof supported by wooden posts and brackets, which is gabled over the ground floor window.
