Description
No 1 Ivy Lane is a 17th-century house that has been altered over time. It features a timber frame with whitewashed brick infill, and the front and the gable of the left bay have been rebuilt in whitewashed brick. The roof is thatched and half-hipped to the left, with small brick chimneys located to the right of the center and external to the right gable. The house is 1½ storeys tall and has three irregular bays. The ground floor includes three 19th-century three-light wooden casement windows, while the first floor has two leaded casements, with a two-light window to the left and a three-light window to the right. There is a 20th-century door located to the right of center. To the right, there is a single-storey extension, which was formerly an outbuilding, constructed of whitewashed brick with a tiled roof.
