Description
The George Public House is a 17th century timber-framed house that has been altered, featuring a mainly early 19th century front with five bays and two storeys. The building is rendered and has false timber-framing on the first floor. It includes barred sash windows with sidelights on the ground floor, a canted bay window on the left side, and a shallow projection on the right side. There is a carriage arch at bay four and a continuous hood supported by cut brackets over bays two, three, and four. The roof is covered with old tiles. To the left of the carriageway, there is a 17th century brick stack with three flues. The rear of the building has exposed timber-framing over the carriageway.
