Description
This barn, dating from the 18th century, is located 50 meters southeast of the Manor House in Thornborough. It is constructed of rubble stone, with the eastern half lined with brick. The barn features timber framing with brick infill at the entry gables. The central bay has a tiled roof, while the remaining sections are covered with corrugated iron. The barn consists of seven bays and includes ventilation slits. There are central projecting waggon entries, with a half-hipped roof to the south and a hipped roof to the north. The three bays on the west side are lower and have a weatherboarded gable, along with a stable door on the north side. Inside, the roof structure includes collar and tie beams, double purlins, and braces, with queen struts in the eastern section and raking struts in the western section.
