Description

The Old Post Office is a late 18th-century house, altered in subsequent periods. It is constructed of brick with dentil eaves and a hipped roof covered in old tiles. Brick chimneys flank the building. The house has a compact, double-pile plan and is two storeys high with three bays. The facade is slightly asymmetrical, with narrower bays on the right. The outer bays feature three-pane sash windows, square in shape on the first floor. All windows have gauged heads; the left side has narrow concrete lintels, while the right side has repointed heads. The central bay contains a blind panel with a gauged head above a half-glazed door under a flat hood supported on wooden brackets. A small, single-storey extension with a board door is set back on the right side of the building.
