Description
Court Garden is an 18th-century mansion that ranks alongside Marlow Place, Remnantz, and Western House as one of the finest houses in the town. The main entrance faces north and features two storeys and an attic with three windows, constructed of red brick. It has a mansard slate roof with five round-topped dormers, a band at the first floor, and a cornice. The glazing bars are intact. The ground floor is tiled and includes two Venetian windows, with the left window in a slightly projecting section. The central door is topped with a fanlight.
The rear of the house faces the River Thames to the south and is finished with white-painted stucco. It features two full-height projecting window bays with three sides, each bay having one light. There is a parapet and two round-topped dormers on this side as well. The property includes extensive outbuildings and a large walled garden.
