Description

This is an 18th-century building on the High Street. It is two storeys and has an attic, constructed of painted brick with a bracketed eaves cornice and an old tile roof. The roof is punctuated by two gabled dormers. The front has four windows on the first floor, with altered glazing. The ground floor features large, flat, segmental bow windows, eight panes wide by four, framed with narrow pilasters, a frieze, and a delicate cornice, with a reeded sill. The bow window on the right is a recent copy of the original on the left. A half-glazed central door is set within a surround of panelled pilasters, reeded consoles, cut scroll brackets, and a thin hood. The building forms a group with numbers 88 to 94 on the High Street.
