Description
The ice house, likely built in the early to mid 19th century, is located in the grounds of Number 4 Little Shardeloes, which is not included in this listing. It features a red brick entrance that is partially sunk into the ground, with a cambered entrance and a wooden door. A flight of steps leads to a rectangular chamber constructed of knapped flints, topped with a barrel-vaulted roof made of painted brick in English bond. This ice house was probably originally associated with Number 134 High Street, Little Shardeloes.
