Description
This is an 18th-century barn located to the north of Biddlesden Park House. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a hipped tiled roof. The barn consists of five large bays supported by collar and tie beam trusses with double purlins. There are projecting wagon entries that are half-hipped, with weather-boarding in the lower gables of bays two and four. Additionally, there is an arcade at a right angle to the left, made of brick with a slate roof. This arcade has ten open bays with elliptical arches on round piers, keystones, and blank arches on the rear wall. The design is continued in a later build around three sides of a small stable court.
