Description
Abbey House, formerly known as Abbey Farmhouse, is an 18th-century house that was altered in the late 19th century. It is constructed of rubble stone with roughly quoined corners and features a tiled roof with chimney stacks at the gable ends and to the left of center. The building has two storeys and an attic.
On the left side, there are two bays with 19th-century sash windows, and the ground floor windows have cambered brick arches. The main block on the right has a slightly lower roofline and includes five bays of 19th-century sash windows on the first floor, along with two square bay windows from the late 19th to early 20th century on the ground floor, which flank a central door that is sheltered by a glazed porch. The house also features two gabled dormers.
