Description
This is a barn located adjacent to the southeast of Speen Farmhouse, dating from the mid to late 18th century. It has been converted into a large room around 1980. The structure features a timber frame with weatherboard cladding, a brick and flint plinth, and an old tile roof. Most of the timbers in the south wall were renewed around 1980. The barn consists of three bays and has a central gabled projecting waggon entry on the north side, flanked by lean-tos, each containing a board door and 20th-century paired wooden casements. The south side has double board doors, and there is 20th-century glazing in the east gable. The barn also showcases curved principal trusses. It is included for its group value with the nearby farmhouse.
