Description
No. 16 The Green is a house dating from the late 18th century that has been altered. It is constructed of red brick and features an old tile roof with flanking brick chimneys. The house has two storeys and a cellar, with three bays. The ground floor has 4-pane sash windows, although the heads of these windows have been altered, while the upper floor windows have shallow gauged heads. There is a cellar window with a segmental head located to the right. The central porch is a 20th-century addition, built in a gabled brick style, and includes a door with a fanlight set in a depressed arch. At the rear, there is a 19th-century bay on the right and a 20th-century extension on the left. This building is included for its group value.
