Description

This is a former stable block situated approximately 20 metres to the northeast of The Manor House. Dating from the late 17th century to the early 18th century, it has been altered since its original construction. The building is constructed of chequer brick with a stone plinth and quoins, topped by a hipped roof covered in old tiles. It comprises five bays, with the central one slightly projecting and containing a blocked doorway. There are three oval leaded windows with keyed stone surrounds; one half-leaded window is set within an altered opening and has a segmental head. The right-hand end features a later stable door and window. The rear elevation has three stable doors, two paired barred windows, a four-light leaded window, and a hayloft door that breaks the eaves. Group value is present due to its close association with The Manor House.
