Description
This is an 18th-century barn located at Mayhall Farm. The barn is timber-framed and sits on a brick plinth. The walls are weatherboarded, and it has an old tile roof. The distinctive feature is its two wagon entries on the east side, with an outshot (a projection of the roof) extending from the main roofline between them and at each end. Inside, the barn has eight bays and a single-purlin roof. The roof structure includes raking queenposts and straight bracing connecting the main posts to the tiebeams.
