Description
The small barn and attached cowshed at Mayhall Farm date from the 18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame on a brick plinth and is weatherboarded, topped with an old tile roof. The building features cart doors leading to the yard, two stable doors on the left, and a large projecting gabled wagon entry on the north side, with the roof extending down over a small outshot on the right. Inside, the structure consists of three bays and has a single purlin roof supported by raking queenposts, with straight braces connecting the main posts to the tiebeams. Attached to the west is a low cowshed range, also with an old tile roof, which connects the two barns.
