Description

Munday Dean Farmhouse is a house that dates back to the 17th century, featuring two central bays that were raised and rebuilt at the front and rear in the mid to late 18th century. The flanking lower bays include one from the 18th century on the left and one from the early 19th century on the right. There is a later 19th-century extension at the rear left, with a 20th-century wing beyond it.

The two central bays have a front made of flint with brick dressings, a first-floor band course, and offset eaves. The end walls show slight timber framing with whitewashed brick infill, while the rear is rebuilt in brick. The roof is an old tile half-hipped mansard style, with flanking brick chimneys, the right one being of thin brick. The house has two storeys and an attic, with 20th-century leaded casements, featuring two lights on the main floors and three lights in flat-roofed dormers.

The lower bay on the left has a similar flint and brick front with a band course and half-hipped roof, along with an old three-light leaded window with a segmental head. The 19th-century bay on the right is made of brick, also with a first-floor band course and hipped roof, and has a three-light leaded casement on the first floor, along with a 20th-century lean-to porch that has leaded glazing and an old board door. The interior retains some remains of timber framing in the central bays.
