Description

34 Well Street is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century, which was remodeled in the 19th century and altered in the 20th century. The exterior is rendered with incised masonry patterns and features a plain-tile roof with rendered end stacks. The house has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall with an attic, presenting a two-window range. The central door, added in the 20th century, is topped with a rendered hoodmould. The ground and first floors have 19th-century horned and quartered sash windows, with the ground floor windows also featuring rendered hoodmoulds. The eaves are cogged brick, and there is a central gabled roof dormer window. Inside, the property has chamfered and stop-chamfered spine beams. The roof structure includes central principal rafters without a collar or tie and one tier of purlins.
