Description
Kings Ride House is a 17th-century house that was altered in the early 20th century. It is constructed of thin brick in English bond, featuring a first floor band course and a moulded plinth. The roof is tiled from the 20th century, and there are thin brick chimneys, one with a 'V' nib located to the right of the center and another to the left that is partly made of thin brick. The house has 1½ storeys and four bays.
The windows on the upper floor are 3-light barred casements, with the right bay featuring cast iron windows and the others made of wood. The three ground floor windows have segmental heads and all are fitted with board shutters. The upper windows are set in gabled semi-dormers that have ornamental bargeboards. There is a small single casement window between the left bays above a 20th-century door that has a rectangular fanlight and a flat wooden hood. Another door is located to the right.
At the rear, there is a 20th-century parallel extension and a conservatory. Inside, the house features chamfered spine beams, some of which have small stops, and there is an old paired leaded window in the rear wall.
