Description
Numbers 1 and 2 Chapel Cottage is a pair of houses built around 1800. They feature a combination of chequer brick and flint with a slate plinth, topped by an old tile roof and flanked by brick chimneys, one of which is truncated at the ridge line. The cottages are two storeys tall with an attic and consist of two bays. There is a partial band course at the first floor level.
In the left bay, there is a horizontal sliding sash window on the ground floor and a paired barred wooden casement window on the first floor. The right bay has 20th-century windows that resemble sashes but include top-hung upper lights. At the centre, there is a barred wooden window at the first floor level, a small oval window just below the eaves, and two doors: the left door is flush-panelled and top-lit, while the right door is from the 20th century. To the left, there is a weatherboard and corrugated iron shed, and at the rear, there are two-storey brick wings.
